When I arrived at the river it was unlike anything I had ever seen before. The river was raging a thick chocolate like liquid, all the rocks were covered forming some massive holes. Fortunately, I was able to get on the river with my friend and paddling partner Josh Larsen, we paddled that surging ocean of a river to south of Glacier as we were chased downstream by trees and rocks, it was a truly surreal experience.

For many of us kayaking is a way of life, an art form, a passion, it represents determination, empowerment, and the very best of everything we are. With unseasonably low flows in Washington this summer I set out to Idaho and Colorado to chase my passion for white water and new experiences, to explore what I’m capable of and what makes me most happy.
The past 4 weeks have been a whirlwind of new rivers, stout drops, hucking waterfalls, endless hours of paddling, new and old friends, a lot of driving, spending more time in my sleeping bag then my bed...
On October 3rd I turned 24 year old and all I really wanted to do for my birthday was spend it with my best friends...and go over a waterfall! I was fortunate to spend the following weekend in the wondrous mountains of Whistler, BC

It is largely a result of our support of one and other, encouragement, and the fact that we just have such a damn good time playing together that makes all we do possible in the first place!
